Key to The City of Miami presented to: Mateo Attalla and BOXR GYM by Mayor Francis Suarez
On Tuesday October 14th Mayor Francis Suarez presented the key to the city of Miami to Mateo Attalla the owner of BOXR GYM and his executive team. The key of the city of Miami was awarded to him for their incredible impact on the city and community of Miami.
From fighter to CEO. Born and raised in Australia, Mateo spent his early years perfecting his craft of boxing. Excelling at an early age becoming Australia’s sportsperson of the year at 13. Mateo created BOXR during the Covid pandemic of 2020. Using his original fight name “BOXR”. Nicknamed the House of Champions. BOXR hosts the world's best talent in combat sport and fitness. Such as David Benavidez, Teofimo Lopez, Floyd Mayweather, Alexander Volkanovski, Israel Adeysana, Roy Jones Jr and much more.
Community outreach stands as a pillar of the BOXR brand. From our community boxing events (Police vs Fire), fitness competitions, World Champion Meet and Greets and outreach events, Mateo states: “Giving back to the city of Miami and the community was a non-negotiable for me. Our true value lies within the great community of Miami. I grew up in the PAL program back in Australia and it’s my life mission to always be charitable and give back to this amazing country and city”.

BOXR has been loyal partners with the Miami Police Department, Miami’s PAL Program, Miami Dade Schools PD, Miami Fire Rescue, CPR Foundation and Xfinity. BOXR provides the youth of the PAL program with a world class facility to train. BOXR has given over 10,000 toys in their annual Christmas giveaways every year. BOXR has donated 1000’s of backpacks to local schools in collaboration with CPR Foundation and Xfinity. As well as donating over $50,000 worth of cash, laptops, i pads, computers and more to the PAL Football program in partnership with Steve Will Do It.

BOXR gym is located in the heart of Miami’s downtown district and for the last three years has completely taken over the fitness industry. Hosting over four thousand members, 100’s of coaches and dozens of world champions in Boxing and MMA.
